New View System Requirements

New View application mode provides access to the redesigned portal and functionality available with v4.4.0 and later. New View is the only view available in v4.5.0 and later. See the Classic View system requirements if using Classic View application mode. Classic View is available with v4.4.0 - v4.4.2 only.    

For the best possible Provider Portal New View experience, use a recent model computer and operating system, a high resolution monitor, a high-speed Internet connection, and a supported Web browser. See below for system requirements and related information.

Microsoft Internet Explorer users: Perform flag icon test if you do not see icons in the portal (this is uncommon):
If you do not see the flag, select "No" and follow the instructions; a setting in your browser needs to be enabled so icons are displayed in the portal.

Supported Devices

Computer, tablet, and smartphone devices* are supported by New View application mode.

*If you use a Samsung device and have trouble entering dates or numbers, the default Samsung keyboard is likely the problem. The solution is to switch to a different keyboard.   

Portal Application Modes (Classic/New)

In v4.4.0 - v4.4.2 two portal log on application modes are supported, Classic View and New View. In general, Classic View provides access to v4.3.2 portal design and functionality. New View provides access to the redesigned portal and functionality available with v4.4.0 and later.   

  • Mobile devices (tablets and smartphones) are only supported in New View
  • When Provider Portal is accessed from a mobile device, the application defaults to New View
  • Regardless of application mode, immediately upon upgrade from v4.3.2 to v4.4.0 or later, the legacy "mobile" and "tablet" standalone Web applications become unavailable and support for them ends
  • In v4.5.0 and later New View is the only available portal view

This portal is built on advanced modern technologies and does not support old Web browsers. It is strongly recommended that you use a supported Web browser to minimize potential security risks and ensure the best possible portal experience. Microsoft announced end of support for older versions of Internet Explorer effective January 12, 2016. Click here to see the Microsoft announcement. In line with the Microsoft announcement, Provider Portal support for older versions of Internet Explorer has ended. This change is effective immediately and applies to all general availability (GA) versions of Provider Portal.

Web Browser Context Menu
The Provider Portal application does not support functions provided by your Web browser context menu such as print, select all, and copy.

Email Account

You need a valid email address to set up your portal account. Email is how you receive system alerts including password reset and new secure message inbox item notifications.

Exporting Reports to Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel Viewer or a .xls compatible application is required for exporting reports to Excel. Click here to download Excel Viewer.

Considerations for Specific Portal Functions 

  • Orders Component
    • Internet Explorer is the recommended Web browser for creating, copying, and editing orders
    • The Orders component is not supported on a smartphone
  • Printing
    • Click here for information about printing within the Provider Portal application
  • Reports Component
    • A computer is the recommended device for the best Reports component experience
  • Scanning
    • Scanning is not supported on mobile devices
    • The file name you enter for your scanned document cannot contain any of the following characters:

      • Asterisk (*)
      • Backslash (\)
      • Colon (:)
      • Double quotation mark (")
      • Forward slash (/)
      • Greater than (>)
      • Less than (<)
      • Question mark (?)
      • Vertical bar (|)
  • System Admin Component
    • A computer is the recommended device for the best System Admin component experience
    • The Groups, Roles, and Users System Admin functions are not supported on mobile devices
  • Secure Messaging Component
    • Uploading the following file formats as secure message attachments is not supported:

      • Microsoft Excel: .xls, .xlt, .xlm, .xlsx, .xlsm, .xltx, .xltm, .xlsb, .xla, .xlam, .xll, .xlw 
      • Microsoft PowerPoint: .ppt, .pot, .pps, .pptx, .pptm, .potx, .potm, .ppam, .ppsx, .ppsm, .sldx, .sldm
      • Hypertext Markup Language: .htm, .html
    • Secure message forms work best on computer and tablet devices

Font download must be set to "enable" so you can see the icons and successfully use the portal.
