Add Attachments to Secure Message

To Add Attachments to a Secure Message, you can "Attach from Local Device" (select files or scan files) or "Attach from Document Repository".

Attach from Local Device

Select Files

Note: Supported file types are: doc, docx, pdf, tif, tiff, jpg, jpeg, bmp, txt, and xml. In version 4.5.0 and later rtf is also supported. Htm, html, xls, xlsx, ppt, and pptx are not supported. 

  1. Click the Add Attachments button in the Secure Message. The Attachments window opens.
  2. On the Attach from Local Device tab, click Select files.
  3. Navigate to the desired file, click the file name, then click Open. To attach multiple files at one time, hold down the Ctrl key as you click your selections. To choose several files in a row, hold down the Shift key while clicking your first and last selections. The files are uploaded to the Secure Message.
  4. Select a Document Type for the uploaded files.
  5. Click OK to save and return to your New Message.

Scan Files

  1. Click the Add Attachments button in the Secure Message. The Attachments window opens.
  2. On the Attach from Local Device tab, click Scan files.
  3. Scan Control must be installed to proceed.

Attach from Document Repository

  1. Click the Add Attachments button in the Secure Message. The Attachments window opens.
  2. On the Attach from Document Repository tab, click the check box of each document you want to attach.
  3. Click OK to save and return to your New Message.
